1 Lyle and Nina marry

On Saturday afternoon, July 21, Lyle married Nina Mae Williams in a simple, brief ceremony in the cultural hall at Lyle's church in Parma. There was an opening song, "Could I Have This Dance?" Afterward Lyle's bishop gave a few words of counsel and then performed the marriage. Chairs were rearranged, and the guests were able to enjoy cake, punch, nuts, and candies.

Some, but not all, of Lyle's children and grandchildren were present for the occasion. And four of his brothers and spouses (Jerry, Gene and Cheryl, Dean and Claudia, and Dale and LeAnn). A number of others were present, from both our family and Nina's family. Kay and Karen were unable to come up from St. George, and Rex and Jackie were at a Sayer reunion at Red Fish Lake.

Apparently Lyle and Nina first knew each other way back when they were students in high school at Adrian.

Both Lyle and Nina have houses of their own. Lyle told me that for now they were going to live in her house in New Plymouth.
